0Vasant Panchami or Basant Panchami is a Hindu festival dedicated to Goddess Saraswati which is celebrated every year on the fifth day of Indian month Magh. It is also called Saraswati Puja. Sraswati is the Godess of music, art and wisdom.
Basant means spring and Panchami means fifth. Saraswati temples throughout India will perfom special pujas on this auspicious day. Devotees worship Saraswati on this day.
