0Chennai Express Avenue is South India’s second largest Shopping Mall, promoted by Express Infrastructure, a subsidiary of The Indian Express Group.
Chennai Express Avenue is located at the heart of Chennai city, at Anna Salai (Mount Road). The mall is surrounded by major roads on all four sides – Anna Salai, Pattulos Road, Woods Road and Whites Road.
The complex has 15,00,000 sq. ft space out of which 9 lakh sq ft is shopping space, 1 lakh sq ft for eating, 70000 sq ft for entertainment and 2 lakh sq ft for a world-class business chamber and a 40-room boutique hotel.
Express Avenue has 3 level parking space for over 1500 car and two wheelers. This multiplex in Chennai has an 8 screen theatre by Satyam Cinemas which will entertain 1600 people.
Chennai Express Avenue has a five star hotel and office space at the business chambers. The mall is built at a cost of 750 crore.
Food Court, Anchor/Mini Anchor stores, Fine Dining/Casual Dining/Coffee Shops, Gourmet Supermarket and Entertainment Zone are the specialties of this mall.

Express Avenue Mall Inauguration
The Grand Inauguration of Express Avenue Mall is held on August 30th, 2010 between 5.00pm to 7.00pm. The inauguration will be done by the Honorable Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, Dr. Kalaingnar Karunanidhi in the presence of the Chief Guest His Excellency Dr. Surjeet Singh Barnala, the Governor of Tamilnadu.

The Commonwealth Games theme song, Jiyo Utho Badho Jeeto, by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman, was unveiled Today in Gurgaon in a Swagatham cermony.
A R Rahman last week claimed that his Commonwealth Games Theme Song will be better that Fifa World Cup 2010 title song Waka-Waka Song by Shakira.

Tamil and Malayalam actor Bala tied the knot with Asianet Idea Star Singer face Amritha Suresh yesterday (27-Aug-2010) in Chennai.
Bala ? Amrutha Suresh Marriage was a small function attended by close friends and relatives.
Actor Bala has acted in many Tamil and Malayalam Movies. Bala was introduced by director Anil in Kalabham in 2006, became a regular face in Malayalam. Even though he started his film career in Tamil, most of his major movies are in Malayalam like Kalabham ,Big B,SMS ,Sagar alias Jacky Reloaded, Black Stallion ,Puthiya Mukham ,Ring tone, Alexander the Great and upcoming movies like Musafir, Chaverpada.
Since the marriage was in Chennai most of the Malayalam actors and actress could not attend the function. So a reception is scheduled on Sep 5th in Kochi.
